Applauding the NHS (UK)
by blablabluh inhi, just curious to know if anyone knows of witnesses not applauding the nhs on thursday night.
all i know is for some reason my mum and aunt only went out to listen but didn’t take part in the applause.
not sure if they were just being strange or if there has been instruction not to take part.

Phizzy they'll never get paid what they deserve. They are the same as Watchtower publishers - some are truely excellent and their goodwill keeps things running but their goodwill is abused. They are rarely given the support they need to do things properly. In my personal experience, I was hamstrung from doing my job. So much so I had a choice, lose my health carrying an impossible burden or walk. I walked from the NHS to preserve my health.
Just like I walked from the Watchtower because the organisation tells massive lies.

2020 Memorial - No Need To Actually Have The Emblems
by pale.emperor inover at jw talk they're saying because they're having to hold the upcoming memorial at home, they dont need to actually have the emblems.
apparently, listening to or watching the talk is the thing that counts.. "do this in rememberence of me" apparently means watching tony morris on your phone give a talk.. this begs the question... "what's the point?

Including arithmetic? :)
The GB sure do something odd with arithmetic but does that make arithmetic pagan?

Good News About the Covid-10 and the Watchtower Bible and Truck Society! n
by 1234 inwe all know that things are all going to be way different when we get through this milestone.. like hurricane katrina, people survived this but new orleans even 16 years later is way different.
our economy is like a shark that must keep moving through the water.
stop it and it will die.. the witnesses like many people in the world, have little to no savings.

Yes - Zoom is their way forward. Or something similiar if their experiment in Zoom doesn't tick all their boxes.
Vocabulary is considered to be a path to understanding the inner man - sooo should make vocabulary analysis nice and easy for them to pick out who ain't mentally in. Can you hear the screws being tightened? Vocabulary analysis plus key performance indicators to assess behavior.
Also, the fear of the virus might drive those on the fence back in who would initially feel safe in this environment, only to find the trap closes after the panic lifts.
If you are out, be glad you are out.

Covid-19 (Coronavirus) - Status Update Thread
by Simon inthis topic is to focus on status updates & advice (no opinion or politics please).. status.
latest status is that it's serious, probably isn't going to be contained and most large companies are making contingency plans, cancelling large events etc... which i don't think would happen if it was just people being alarmist.
the incubation period means it may have already spread further and infected many more people than are currently known, so expect jumps in the numbers over the coming days and weeks.. tracking.

Some are saying St Corona is the patron saint of pandemics. Others dispute this but she is associated with money and ironically the stock market has crashed. Whoever comes up with cure might make enough money to pay off the cost of getting through this.
Corona is especially venerated in Austria and eastern Bavaria. She is invoked in connection with superstitions involving money, such as gambling or treasure hunting.

I have been slung out, so I'm not in the at-risk category of being picked on by the elders/bullies. I have already suffered that, survived and developed total immunity. But if I was in the at-risk category and asked to download Zoom, I would self isolate/leave immediately. Like Lot, I'd just get out of there and never look back. If others came out with me great, if not at least I'd be out and safe. -

The emblems, whether you have them or not will be invisibly present. In fact they've been invisibly present since 1914, which is another way of saying 1874.

Hi ScenicViewer - yes Bioflavonoids - sorry I didn't get the name right. I am in UK and I bought Vit C-1000mg with Rose Hips from Holland & Barratt.
The lady told me to take double the daily dose which I did while I was so ill with a death rattle, endless dry cough. Where I worked, I was right next to a public health team who were surprised but curious at what I had been told. Taking double the daily dose is not recommended but I was told it so firmly and I was so ill, I did and I made a full recovery.
I did not have Corona virus, it was long before that. I had been pioneering and the routine was stressful and I could not rest properly. So the cough probably had more to do with acid reflux rather than an infection. But her advice was the only thing that provided me with any relief.

Check with your GP (in other words, don't blame me if this is wrong or wouldn't be suitable for you) but I have just been told about an elderly Chinese lady who was diagnosed with the virus. She was admitted to hospital and the family asked that she be given Vitamin C. The clinicians resisted but later agreed on the basis that Vitamin C was so cheap. She was given it intravenously and recovered.
From personal experience a few years ago I had a bad cough (I put it down to pioneering). Anyway a kind Christian lady (not a JW) took pity on me and told me about the benefits of high dose Vitamin C. She told me to go out and get Vitamin C with Riboflavinoids and take double the daily dose - she said the Riboflavinoids were important. She also told me that one clove of garlic would stop my cough for an hour. It did. She also recommended I make a tea of fresh grated ginger, with 2 tsp of cinnamon - let it brew and strain it, add honey and sip. It sooths the cough. All that she told me worked.
None of the stuff the GP tried worked. But what she told me helped. In the end the real cure was to stop pioneering because I think the cough was stress induced from not getting proper rest.

Hi Newsheep
In the UK, once people pass a certain age, their health care costs go up. People imagine that somehow their best interests are being cared for, until reality hits them as they slow up. Then they see just how much they are cared for. Their strength is gone, their voice not heard. Subtle obstacles have to be overcome that the elderly never imagined they would face. Such as ever changing carers who only have 15 mins to give you and turn up late (because they can't help it they are under so much pressure). But, do hope you don't mind getting up at 10am and going to bed a 2pm. Or sitting in a filthy wet diaper feeling thirsty, let alone depressed for a few hours, as your toothache flares to agony but no one hears you scream. Or they do but no one is available to respond.
One reason why its a good idea to help those who are struggling. Over many years you gradually see what happens to them and what is awaiting you.
The British healthcare runs primarily on the goodwill of those doing the caring. Many of whom are not given the support and in some cases are even hamstrung from providing the level of care they want to provide. Their goodwill owes far more than is ever acknowledged to Chrisitan values.
People need love and compassion. Not hands-off corporate neglect with endless excuses and the learning of lessons which were really learnt years ago but conveniently forgotten.
